My father was an artist, and chose instead to pursue an engineering career. Throughout his adult life he collected beautiful watercolors, paper and brushes that were rarely used. When he passed away I inherited these materials. I choose to draw intimate details of my life that I never shared with him though wish I could have, just as I wish he could have kept up his art practice. This is an ongoing exercise and a continual reminder to return to your materials, use them up and share your stories.
